Wedding Hair and Make Up Styles
If you've flicked through wedding magazines in the run-up to your wedding day, you have probably been confronted with hundreds of different wedding hair styles and 'looks'. Each one probably looks gorgeous and now you are wondering how on earth to choose a wedding hair do that suits you. Here are a few tips on not losing yourself!
Tips for Choosing Your Wedding Hair Styles & Make Up
- If you want an up-do, but have short or medium length hair, start growing your hair in advance. Hairstylists can work wonders, but unless you want to have hair extensions, need something to work with.
- Talk to your regular hairdresser about what wedding hair would suit you (and your dress and style of wedding).
- If you are not going to be comfortable with a formal 'up-do' then don't have one!
- Enjoy the chance to accessorise your wedding hair style with veils, tiaras, flowers, jewels and other decorative headpieces.
- Book a trial hairstyling session before your wedding day. This will give you the chance to review the style you've chosen, freshen your colour up, have the ends trimmed if necessary and give the hairstylist a chance to use your accessories.
- For wedding make up, remember that you are going to photographed a lot, so you may need a more longer-lasting application than usual, perhaps using slightly bolder colours.
- Stick to make up colours that you are comfortable with – if you usually 'go natural' wearing heavy, pancake make-up will feel pretty yucky.
- Make sure you have tried out your make up with your make up artist before your wedding day.
- Relax, enjoy and have fun!
